Accused Bondi Attackers Acted Alone and Received No Training in the Southeast Asian Nation, Police State.

The two suspected individuals who carried out the deadly shooting at a Jewish celebration on Bondi Beach, resulting in 15 lives, are believed to have operated independently, per national police.

Authorities also confirmed that Sajid Akram, 50, and his 24-year-old son Naveed Akram, 24, flew to the Philippines on 1 November. Their itinerary involved landing in the capital Manila before transiting that same day to Davao City. The father and son flew back to Sydney on 29 November.

Lack of Proof of Planning During Visit

Investigators have stated the individuals did not partake in any form of attack-related instruction or "organizing" during their visit in the Philippines. Early findings from Philippine officials indicate they "hardly ventured out of" their hotel.

The attack—labeled as Australia's deadliest firearm massacre since 1996—has been officially classified as a terrorist incident.

"We are actively examining the footage," she said, noting that preliminary evaluations show that "the alleged offenders are believed to have been lone actors."

National law enforcement Chief Krissy Barrett told reporters on Tuesday that surveillance material tracking the alleged gunmen's activities in the Philippines had been provided to domestic authorities.

"There is little to no indication to support the idea these accused individuals were affiliated with a wider terrorist cell, or were instructed by others to perpetrate an attack," Commissioner Barrett said.

However, the pair were likewise not in the Philippines on a leisure trip, she added. She underscored that, as the probe is still active, new evidence might emerge.
