NFL 2025 season: Week six

Live coverage includes text commentary of Sunday's games on various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, radio commentary is available on select stations for a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the NFL season , following last week's talk about the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles being a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their unbeaten records.

Striking during those contests was the number of infractions both committed. Philadelphia did so at crucial times meaning they essentially defeated themselves having led 17-3 going into the final quarter against the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this Sunday.

However it was good to observe that Denver quarterback Bo Nix managed to have the shortfall before lead three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the game by four points.

Denver boast the top defender in CB their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, while Philadelphia lead the league in red zone offence, and the Broncos won that contest.

They executed effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They weren't always sending extra pass rushers instead they might position two LBs in the interior then withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.

At the start of the season, we said on a program how the Broncos might emerge as the current year's surprise contenders. They finished last season strongly then did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's underdog story?

Recently acquired TE Evan Engram has excelled significantly while new running back their rusher is a guy they believe in. He now ranks fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

I love that the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUSH!" at the top on his call sheet.

That shows that Denver represent a team aiming to prioritize the run, because you can do a lot off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush while keeps you in favourable down and distances.

It's also benefited QB the young passer, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick last year, throwing 29 touchdown passes – just behind Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Other elite QBs have the arm strength to throw all over, but they lack in the same way that Nix has. He has incredible passing ability, which is different, plus he is so athletic.

His assets include his mobility, being able to pass on the run, as well as using different arm angles to make throws as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to throw precision throws over the middle or over the corner.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he displays a lot of poise in the pocket and isn't really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able throw in tight spots. He possesses a high football IQ and is quick to decide.

When you consistently rush it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and when you've got an athletic quarterback the defense has to defend the field downfield side to side. It can be exhausting.

Nix has pushed back at Payton during games at times and I think the coach likes that attitude, seeing him as a fierce rival. In my view it's fun for the coach to coach a young quarterback that is similar to play-dough. He can really develop him how he desires to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach has won a championship and now passed a legend for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He's seen it all. I think the success the Broncos are experiencing on offence is mostly down to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with Nix helps make him what he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to assist you through difficult moments and build confidence.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But is the team good enough to face an elite team at full strength? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.

Currently, it's unlikely the Broncos are incredible. They're performing better than most, that's a good place to hold their division. All they need is to continue this trajectory.

They excel at leaning into their forte, which is running the ball, and that's exactly what they must do against the New York Jets in London. It will likely be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.

New York have surrendered 140 rushing yards per game (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they're the only team without a win a game.

Ever since the league started recording turnovers in 1933, the Jets are the inaugural squad to be without a single takeaway in five outings, which is kind of shocking when you think that their new coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

Following this Sunday's game, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule up to their bye (in week twelve) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 while Denver are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge at leading the division.

It depends on what version Kansas City shows up they meet since Denver {beat|def
