19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized the Russian player secured his first trophy for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has experienced a challenging season, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Now working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface since March of that year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has secured twenty-one titles at 21 distinct events.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters at once, so to win a title is particularly special," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, including in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused observers to question if his ability to play at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and compete assertively, backed up by an improved service.
He fought back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players traded service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to force a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 initial opportunities in a tight third set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
